About the role
We are currently seeking a passionate ENG Camera Operator/Editor to join our team. Reporting to the National News Director, you will be responsible for filming and editing high-quality stories for news and updates.
Working in a regional newsroom offers a unique and rewarding opportunity to cover a diverse range of stories. From community events and sport to politics and environmental issues, you’ll have the chance to capture the stories that matter and make an impact within the local community.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday and based at our Darwin office.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated skills in camera operation and video editing
Experience filming interviews, sporting events and community activities
A high level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
Strong time management skills and the ability to work effectively to deadlines
The ability to work productively within a team and contribute positively to workplace relationships
The confidence to contribute ideas and demonstrate initiative and flexibility
A positive work ethic, with a willingness to learn new systems and processes
A high level of creativity and the ability to recognise and visually capture a compelling news story
An unrestricted driver’s licence, which is essential for the role
