About the role:
Based in our Wollongong office, we are seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a fulltime Presenter/Journalist. Reporting to the National News Director, you will be responsible for researching, compiling and producing high quality stories for our weekday news updates and bulletins. This role will see you liaise with journalists and senior news managers across the network.

You will be a degree-qualified reporter working as a professional journalist in the media industry, with at least three years experience. You will be required to represent the Company publicly and maintain a professional and creditable profile within all news related, publicity and promotional activity.

About you:
To be the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Demonstrate presentation, grammatical correctness and credibility as a Journalist/Presenter.
  • Be involved in publicity, promotion and community involvement.
  • Ensure accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and written.
  • Contribute ideas and demonstrate initiate and flexibility.
  • Be available to work fulltime at 38 hours a week
  • Have a demonstrated positive work ethic and the ability and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to compile impactful bulletins.
  • Knowledge of local, national and international news stories affecting the community.
  • Demonstrated superior communication and relationship building skills, as well as a thorough understanding of Media Law.
