The Role

i98FM, the Illawarra’s No.1 radio station, is on the lookout for a Promotions Manager to lead the charge on our biggest campaigns, boldest ideas, and most memorable moments. This is a hands-on, high-energy role for someone who lives and breathes great promotions, loves bringing ideas to life, and thrives in a fast-paced creative environment.

As Promotions Manager, you’ll be a driving force behind how i98FM shows up in the market— from listener competitions and client campaigns to concerts, community activations, and of course the i98FM Illawarra Convoy, you’ll be at the centre of it all.

You’ll lead our promotions and Street Fleet teams, working closely with programming, sales, and management to deliver campaigns that grow audiences, strengthen partnerships, and generate real results. As a key leader in the business, you’ll set the tone through your actions—leading by example, supporting your team, and helping build a positive, high-performing station culture.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and developing the Promotions and Street Fleet teams.
• Creating and delivering standout listener and client promotions.
• Managing the station’s promotions calendar and on-air bookings.
• Developing creative proposals for sales and “i98FM Presents” opportunities.
• Overseeing major campaigns, events, and activations—including Illawarra Convoy.
• Assisting in the development of station survey initiatives and overseeing the seamless execution of tactics.
• Assisting in the development and execution of station marketing and brand initiatives.
• Managing the i98FM website and app, ensuring content is accurate, current, and engaging.
• Coordinating community sponsorships and partnerships.
• Managing relationships with suppliers, partners, and promoters.
• Ensuring permits, compliance, and media codes are always met.
• Overseeing promotional vehicles, branding, and safety requirements.
• Chairing product meetings and keeping departments aligned.
• Sourcing prizes, giveaways, and promotional assets.
• Supporting commercial and revenue initiatives with the wider team.
• Actively contributing to station culture, staff engagement, and performance.
• Helping drive business growth and continuous improvement.
