About the role:
We are currently seeking a solutions-focused Technician with a passion for broadcast and radio. As a Technician, you will support and maintain our Television and Radio broadcast infrastructure across the WIN Network. Working closely with Production, Operations, News and Radio teams, you’ll help keep our systems running smoothly and efficiently. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving under pressure, and takes pride in being part of a team responsible for delivering reliable broadcast services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all broadcast equipment, including control rooms, playout server systems and automation systems
  • Provide technical support to Production, Operations, News and Radio teams
  • Participate in a rotational roster supporting news production and playout
  • Be available for on-call support for after-hours radio issues
  • Contribute to documentation, record-keeping and knowledge sharing within the Technology team
  • Identify and address Work Health and Safety risks within the station environment 

About you:

You are technically capable, proactive and collaborative. You enjoy working as part of a team and are confident managing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.

To be the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Experience in radio and broadcast equipment repairs
  • Understanding of radio systems, television newsroom and control room systems
  • Experience managing diverse technical tasks and delivering outcomes
  • Knowledge of radio and digital television systems and associated equipment
  • Ability to service and repair electronic equipment to circuit board level
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Exposure to desktop PCs, laptops, servers and peripherals
  • Experience maintaining Microsoft, Linux and MacOS operating systems
  • Desirable: experience with SMPTE 2110, AES67, Livewire and Dante
  • Strong coordination, communication and stakeholder liaison skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and learn new systems quickly
  • Professional presentation and positive demeanour
  • A proactive and team-focused mindset
