About the role:
We are currently seeking a passionate IT Help Desk Officer to join our Technology team.

Reporting to Broadcast Systems Integration Manager, your primary objective will be to ensure the ongoing reliability of computers and network systems within WIN Television. You will provide efficient support to internal clients, ensuring minimal disruption to their work, and work closely with the broader Corporate IT, Communications, and Broadcast teams.

To be the successful candidate, you will be able to:

  • Install and maintain PCs and printers across the business.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and networking faults, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Provide remote support via phone, email, and remote access tools.
  • Monitor and update help desk tickets and communicate status updates to users.
  • Perform daily system backups and data restores when required.
  • Configure and maintain email, antivirus, and business software.
  • Assist with virus and cybersecurity issue resolution.
  • Support office relocations, server rack setup, and scheduled after-hours work.
  • Assist in testing systems, procedures, and business systems.
  • Participate in an on-call roster to assist with on-air troubleshooting and support.
  • Work collaboratively with IT and other departments on projects and ongoing support.

About you:
To be the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar IT role - this is desirable but not essential. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to be able to build collaborative relationships both internally and externally.
  • The ability to work autonomously, as well as within a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to achieving and maintaining high quality of work output.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake work in a safe manner, ensuring compliance with appropriate WHS policies and standards.
  • Learn and develop systems administration and troubleshooting skills.
