About the role:

We are currently seeking a Systems Support Technician to join our Technology team, based in Wollongong. You will be required to help plan, develop, and deploy system solutions to meet the Company’s business requirements. If you are comfortable working with a variety of programming languages and enjoy learning new technologies, this is the perfect opportunity to kickstart your career!

About you:

To be the successful candidate, you will have:

• Tertiary qualification in either Information Technology or computer related sciences.
• Experience either through academic studies or on the job experience.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize software applications using multiple programming languages.
• Collaborate with senior developers to implement and enhance features.
• Assist in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software issues.
• Contribute to the development of Massive ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) frameworks.
• Write scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to best programming practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to be able to build collaborative relationships both internally and externally.
• The ability to work autonomously, as well as within a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to achieving and maintaining high quality of work output.
• Demonstrated ability to undertake work in a safe manner, ensuring compliance with appropriate OHS policies and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in VB, C#, JAVA, and JavaScript.
• Experience working with Bash and PowerShell scripting.
• Exposure to or an understanding of Massive ETL frameworks (highly desirable).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
• Prior experience in software development is a plus
