Digital Distribution Australia (DDA), as part of the WIN Network, is a ‘carriers’ carrier’ delivering managed bandwidth services for video, data and voice. We are stimulating competition to regional areas having built a broadband network providing carriers, ISPs and governments with connectivity for mission critical services.

DDA is looking to add the position of Senior IT and GRC Security Engineer to our team currently based in Lane Cove West.

Primary Objectives
The primary objective of the Senior IT and GRC Security Engineer role is to implement, facilitate and maintain IT computing systems including servers, SAN storage, hypervisor VM, Disaster Recovery and Backup and Telco NMS, as well as ISO27001 and local cyber security regulations and requirements.


Key Duties & Responsibilities
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Project:

  •   Establish/Upgrade DDA IT system to meet ISO27001 Information Security requirements.
  • Build up new Virtual Machine (VM) system, server clusters and SAN storage system, backup & DR system in primary site and DR site and migrate existing NMS systems from current environment to the newly built VM and storage system
  • Build up new primary and DR domain controller servers and migrate from existing domain controller to the newly built
  • Build up new primary and DR AAA security server and migrate from exiting to the newly built
  • Implement data backup for all data storage facility including cloud service e.g. Office365
  • ISO27001 information security management system process documentation initialization, implementation and continual development for both DDA office network and telco network
  • Initiate record generation and continue periodically including record review for ISO27001
  • Establish required process for information security system implementation and documentation
  • Other tasks related to development and establishment of DDA IT system and information security system for ISO27001

Operation:

  • IT daily operation / administration to meet ISO27001 information security requirements.
  • Server management and maintenance (hardware, Hypervisor OS on server)
  • Virtual Machine (VM) management (Hypervisor, virtual machine, OS including Windows / Linux on virtual machine)
  • SAN storage management and maintenance
  • Telco NMS and other system software installation upgrade and maintenance
  • Routine data backup, data recovery and testing
  • Disaster Recovery Plan and testing
  • Server, storage, VM, system security management, health monitoring, technical support fault resolving, resource management and planning
  • DDA office network cloud service management and administration
  • Managing and supporting Windows domain infrastructure, directly supporting internal staff workstations and laptops
  • Initiating, updating and maintaining hardware and software systems, assets, policies, procedures, and solutions documentation
  • Office network security management (access, password, anti-malware/virus etc)
  • Software installation upgrade and maintenance
  • Office peripherals management and maintenance (scanner, printer, IP phone etc)
  • DDA Website maintenance
  • General IT administration
  • Other tasks related to upgrade and maintenance of DDA IT system and information security system for ISO27001

Requirements and Qualifications
To meet the challenges of this role you will require:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in developing /troubleshooting / support experiences of servers/computers, Virtual Machine (VM) systems, SAN storage systems, OS system (Windows server, linux), Telco NMS system, domain controllers, AAA security servers, anti-malware, backup and disaster recovery, etc.
  • Good knowledge of information security management policies & procedures and ISO27001
  • Hands on experience in implementing and maintaining an information security management system
  • Experience in using Microsoft Visio
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Planning and Organizing
